Front cover sketch

The name of my magazine is ‘Tempo’ because tempo links to the music vocabulary and  it sounds very catchy. In the masthead there is a slick design  that goes through the  name of the magazine which may catch people attention and draw them to the magazine.

Next to the bar code there is a box which will consist of the media convergence; website, twitter page, instagram page etc. IT will also contain the date of when the magazine is published and the issue number.

On the bottom right corner is the puff to draw more people to the magazine if they are not interested in the appearance or content on the magazine. Also most people who read hip-hop magazines are main-streamers, which is a fairly average age group of people and they are interested in new technology like a mac book.

There will be headlines/sell lines on the front cover to present the content of the magazine. which will contain the main headline and a small description of the main story/article.

My front cover model will be a male, it will be a mid-shot of him and he will be looking straight at the camera with the typical hip-hop clothing and props e.g. jewelry.
